Entry is a tier. A $12 entry is $13.20 to the buyer and $12 to you. A tasting that includes entry is a more expensive tier, not a note. A tasting that does not include entry is an add-on you only sell to people who already have a ticket, or you will scan the same person as two admissions.

The answer
Entry is a tier. A $12 entry is $13.20 to the buyer and $12 to you. A tasting that includes entry is a more expensive tier, not a note. A tasting that does not include entry is an add-on you only sell to people who already have a ticket, or you will scan the same person as two admissions.
A worked example
Entry cap 2,000 at $12 face. VIP tasting cap 200 at $40 face, buyer pays $44.00, and VIP includes entry. You do not also count those 200 against a second entry cap.
What to do next
Write "includes entry" on the VIP tier. The gate should not have to interpret the name.
Fits many event types
Clubs and concerts
Independent rooms that do not have a venue-mandated vendor.
Parties
A page, a price, and a door list.
Conferences
Several ticket types and a scan at each room.
Understand the real cost: 0% organizer fee.
Organizers keep the ticket price. Buyers pay 10%, and card processing is included.

What does the buyer pay on a $25 ticket?
A $25 ticket is $27.50. The organizer keeps $25. Card processing is inside the 10%. Ticket Tailor can be lower. On a $25 ticket the buyer pays about $26.68 if Stripe's domestic 2.9% + 30Β’ is passed through on that one ticket. Tickean is $27.50, in one line, and the organizer does not run a Stripe account.
When does the organizer get paid?
Within 2 business days of the sale. A business day is a weekday that is not a US public holiday. The bank posts the credit on its own clock.
Is there a monthly fee?
No monthly fee and no sign-up fee. A free ticket is $0. A written rate replaces the 10%. It does not sit on top of it.
